A VICTORIAN
extension to one of the most historic buildings in Poole,
Dorset, has been sold by Nettleship Sawyer. Offers had been
invited “in excess of” £400,000 and the
agreed figure was well above the guide.
The purchaser, a local developer, plans to convert the two-storey
extension adjoining Sir Peter Thompson House in Market Close,
Poole, into four large apartments.
The 5,000 sq ft building was, until recently, used as office
space. Nettleship Sawyer acted for Grundy Mack Properties
in the transaction.
Sir Peter Thompson House, which is also being marketed by
Nettleship Sawyer, is a Grade 1 listed building dating back
to 1746.
The distinctive three-storey property in the ‘old town’
part of Poole was fully refurbished several years ago and
now comprises nine offices, ranging in size from 161 sq ft
to 368 sq ft, across two floors.
The office accommodation totals 3,356 sq ft and comes with
at least nine car parking spaces in a secure car park. The
asking price for Sir Peter Thompson House is £600,000.
